Secondary operations are all the functionalisation of the packaging material such as surface treatment improving adhesion, surface coating by protecting/aspect/barrier varnishes, metallic or plasma treatment leading to the disposition of a barrier layer, assembly of different films with glues (complexing) or lamination, laser perforation, ...
There is a wide possibility of post-transformation of packaging materials; it is then not the responsibility of the material provider to give information about all these possible processes. But obviously, if the information is available, it is really a big "plus" to provide it to the converters.
